The Dodgers became the first back-to-back World Series champs since the Yankees won three in a row from 1998 to 2000. In addition, L.A. won its third championship in the past six years.
And now, the Boys in Blue are retooling, signing top free agent, outfielder Kyle Tucker, to a 4-year, $240 million deal, a little over a month after signing top closer Edwin Diaz.
With the moves, the Dodgers’ odds of winning next year’s World Series shortened to +250, after opening at +370 at the conclusion of last season’s title run.
Tucker, 28, was a member of the Astros from 2018-2024 before being traded to the Cubs, where he spent just a single season. He has been an All-Star for the past four seasons and won the World Series with Houston back in 2022.
